Setting the volume of a playable video before clicking play

When someone posts an actual video into a text chat, it always blasts with full volume when you click play, whether or not you want it to do so.. I'd like to be able to set up the volume before clicking play. Would save many eardrums!

    Sounds like a good idea. But sometimes lowering device volume helps

    You just pause the video right after you press the play button and set the volume.

    Bumping this again, on desktop it's really annoying to start playing a video and immediately be hit with louder than expected volume. Even just an option to be able to start media on mute would be appreciated.
