Color coded notifications.
What if we color coded notifications. For example @everyone notifications could be a different color to prevent annoyance. We could set @everyone preferences. We could see the difference from a direct message to an announcement.
Basically more notification settings.

Doing this on a server basis or a channel basis would be so good! That and different sounds per options!

Found this when about to make a post for the same feature! Please do this! I'd like to be able to make everyone pings blue. Role pings that ping me could be green or whatever. Being able to customize these colors would help a lot!

Same. I get excited everytime i get a notification only to see it's some useless @everyone ping. I'd like to customize my DM ping color. Or if someone mentioned me in a server it'd also be a different color.

i dunno if this is different from what i'm thinking about but in my server (i don't have any webhooks, nor any bots, or any of those modifications) everyone has their own role (it's just so that everyone has a unique name color) but if I ping that role, it's of that color for example, we have someone with the role of @I am the king and it's electric blue, if i ping @I am the king the ping itself shows show up electric blue, well, the words do anyway, the ping highlight is still yellow if it pings you.

a year later but im still rooting for this to be a change. I can never tell if people actually @ me individually or if i just got @everyone spammed.

I would love this. The current setting of only being able to set notifications for roles, mentions or both doesn't work if I want to know if I've been pinged by a role, but I also want to know if I've been pinged individually, and I don't want to have to actually check to find out. Just being able to see by colour of notif which one would be great
