Posting GIFs

I had an idea when using the GIF function in the chat bar. When you use one, it leaves behind a URL above it and I think it just looks so awkward especially when it's long and you use one in a conversation and what not. Instead of posting the URL above it, is there anyway the URL could be hidden and only show the GIF alone but when you hover over it or click on it, the URL could be posted there? Just a thought on making it look cleaner!
