Video chat issues

I've been using Discord video chat for about 4 months now with a friend, and only recently, in the past week, they mentioned that their video (of themself) was freezing, but the video of them was perfectly fine on my end, it was just stuck on one frame for them.
Then the issue started happening with me. I keep having to refresh (by turning cam off and on again) to fix it, but it will freeze again between 3-30 minutes.
We have tried changing the video region, restarting the app and my computer, but nothing seems to fix it. It will freeze a frame of my video preview on my end but appear perfectly fine for them.
