Discord Tray App?

The current discord tray menu is not only ugly but broken (the mute and deafen options do nothing for me and everyone I've asked). This is what it looks like now:

I think this could get an upgrade. More of a GUI like other apps do it. Here's NordVPN's for example:

I feel like discord should get a bit of a GUI for it's tray app as I'd like a better and more functional menu to control discord without switching windows. Here are a couple of my ideas:

1- Mini Discord (A miniature version of discord with basic functionality)

I understand this is a bit ambitious and unnecessary. As a simpler, more practical approach; here's another idea I had:

2- Control Panel (Basic controls that would be useful outside of the discord app)

This is a simpler approach to the solution with fewer controls. It has a mute/ deafen option as well as some status bubbles to change your status. There is also an open and quit button to open and exit discord. This is my preferred design but I think it could use a bit more like recent games to launch, check for updates, things like that.
