automatic mentions

so ive noticed that when you do @person, it will automatically mention the person regardless of whether you selected the user from the popup menu or not. please give us an option to turn this off as when youre providing examples it can be super stupid, esp in large servers w people sharing names since if youre trying to use it this way, the person youre trying to @may not be the one youre looking for at all.
