Less troll like ban option please.

Be great if we had more polite or subtle ban methods.

Thor gif is great for dealing with trolls and jerks in general, but sometimes you need to ban someone who hasn't done anything wrong and then Thor gif is just a rude asshole way of doing so.

Not all discord users are 12 years old and all about 'doze dank memez'.

Surely there could be some better, politer methods available that won't destroy someones ego in the process? Like an option for no gif at all, or even the ability to silent ban. (Not everyone needs a smack to the face to get the message)

Case in point, had to ban a user a short while ago who just wasn't the right fit for our community. They weren't a bad person as such, and a ban was the only way to do it without unnecessary drama. But the Thor gif made it feel like I was the one being a jerk and rubbing salt into their wound.

The ban alone was probably already going to ruin their day, and they aren't the type who is clued in on how teh interwebz works, so I can imagine they'll be feeling even worse now because of that gif and feeling like I added it to just be an asshole.

I get it, Discord is for gamers, but please discord might be time to tone down the 'dank memes' and 'we're so edgy' aspect of the way you do things in the app.

Again, many of your users aren't kids and we come from all over the world, from different ages and demographics, cultures etc. Not all gamers are 'gamerz'

Might be time to take this into consideration regarding the app's design.
