Add optimization to Android tablets / DeX
I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 as my primary device, and I use Discord a lot. However, for the past several months, I have been in a dilemma. I have been using Release 19.6, the latest stable release before the Tabs UI change rolled out. While it started normal enough (the things I lost out on were not update-worthy), there are numerous features that are now useful that I do not have:
-Replies (on 19.6, attempting to tap the profile picture of a user replying to a message brings up server settings...with the banner, whether the server is boosted to Level 2 or not)
-Mobile screenshare
-Bold/italic/etc. preview
-Gif picker
-The latest software as a whole
However, there are several things about latest that keep me from it:
-It is literally the phone UI, stretched to a tablet screen (19.6 has the channel menu open at all times, making it slightly like the desktop UI, but the user menu is a drawer)
-Images are spread out taller than the screen height (19.6 has a reduced maximum size to allow images to always show fully)
-The in-call speaking indicator doesn't show who is talking without going into the voice menu (19.6 shows who is talking on the indicator, which is below chat on this version)
-Removal of tap-to-mention (tapping the profile picture on 19.6 will try to ping them, while on latest it brings up their profile. Not a deal-breaker, but infuriating in case of small nicknames.)
While I know the solution would take development time, the solution is already in use. Discord on iPad's UI is a UI I want to have. One tab always open would make optimization that much better on our ends, and the extra perks of screen padding making banners (in server settings) not clearly low-resolution among others is a win.
There's also the desktop UI. While there will need to be things changed (right click -> hold, for one), the fact that most Android tablets share aspect ratios with laptops (16:10) means that it is theoretically possible to port it over. That said, desktop is made for keyboard and mouse, while mobile is primarily touch, so it may not be worth it.
Overall, I hate the fact that I need to use an old version without a now-core feature to still have an enjoyable time on Discord, and I and other Android tablet users would likely appreciate an optimization update.

#1: Discord 19.6's appearance, with a 16:10 image shown in it. As shown, the images cut off past a certain point, easily allowing multiple images to be shown.
