Readability Issues with new UI

Hello, I am sure there have been countless topics in this vein already, however I just wanted to add my two cents. 

When I started using discord, I fell in love, I adored the UI, the message display, it was so easy to read! I had no problems! The simple interface, the spacing, everything worked wonderfully!

Now, with the latest update, I struggle to read through more than a couple of messages at a time. It genuinely has become vastly more difficult for me to read from the UI. The highlighting of messages and the constant, incessant reaction bar just makes it feel... wrong. I don't expect to see much change when I move my mouse across the screen, but instead, this update decided that I clearly want and NEED to have every message given the spotlight for a second, and have some emoji suggestions for reacting.

Please, in the interest of just... ease of use, easier usage for people with vision or cognition issues, hell, just the common opinion of the people, please revert this.
