"Claim your nitro" bot scam
So, i got this DM from a bot called "Claim your nitro" bot which told me that i could get free nitro by clicking a "link" to accept and add the bot. This bot is obviously a scam which needs to be dealt with as soon as possible. This bot is not a ip logger its basically a server nuker.

ok so my friend clicked on this for some reason and added it to our personal server. i already enabled 2fa and changed my password. we kicked it after a minute of being in the server, can anything happened to my account or the server now?

I got this message earlier too. The username is now "© Claim Your Gift" or this is a similar scam account presumably made by the same people. I really hope discord does something about this, but for now block and do not interact with them.

if its called spambot or anything like that its deleted and dealt with. and its been getting out of hand, also ive gotten a Members+ message which is a fake one talking about some boosts on the server.

Yes, Indeed it is a scam, I made the stupid mistake of clicking and adding, so anyone got tips on what to do after I made that mistake, I quickly kicked it from my servers and now I need to ban it. (Claim Your Nitro ©#6897)

I did a whois on the domain for the gift domain (was not able to get it to pull for the birth domain, whois apparently don't recognize it as a domain), found that it's being hosted by a web host I recently had issues with somebody trying to extort money out of me in cryptocurrency, I was able to get that to stop from that mail server fairly quickly by filing a complaint to the report abuse email address. The person who registered the domain isn't even using whois privacy, he's manually filled in REDACTED FOR PRIVACY from every information field on the registration information, that alone can have the domain suspended for inaccurate information. The abuse report address is abuse@namecheap.com

I also got it, it’s now “Nitro Gift”, ID is #9346. I’ve kicked it, banned it, and then blocked it 5 minutes after clicking on it. Then changed my password. It’s a big server I added it to, is there any reason it message my members and tell them to change their passwords? Or is kicking and banning it and changing my password enough?
