Let regular users have png images for banners

Trying this again now that they seem to be out, but...

Personally, i find it incredibly silly that regular users can't set a static image profile banner (not animated) without nitro. Several websites, like twitter, tumblr, deviantart (for regular users, btw!), youtube and probably a lot more, let you have a static png image as your banner for a total of 0 dollars and 0 cents. But if you want a png image for discord its 10 dollars a month. I personally think its not worth 10 dollars even with all the other perks you get.

As it stands, you can't even customize the banner. There is an implication in the news post that you may get to change the colour manually later, which is great and i'd be happy with just that if push comes to shove, but it would be really nice if regular users could just have a regular image as a banner too, like on most other websites.

Again, if all things fail and discord doesn't listen, i'd probably just be content with a solid colour banner that i can manually change, i'm only suggesting this because if other sites let me have an image banner for free, why shouldn't discord? I probably ask for too much but i'm posting this to get a second opinion, because I'm kind of unhappy that i have to have my character's skin colour as my banner when i could have so much more on other places for free. easiest solution is changing my profile picture to have a colour pallete to the banner i want but the picture i wear currently is dear to me and i don't wanna change it.

What do you think? Should users get at least png images for free or is just being able to change colours enough for you? I will mention again that animated pictures are out of the question for this thread, as those actually make sense to be paywalled to me as its in the same light as paying for nitro to have animated profile pictures and emojis.
