Explaining The Difference Between Nitro Class and Nitro Gaming:
The problem is that we as classic users think that we should be able to at least have a static banner as we are also supporters of Discord. Most of the things you get in the $10 Nitro are the same or just upgrades of things classic users get i.e. 50 MB ($5) uploads to 100 MBs ($10), Nitro Icon on your profile (Both), HD Video (Both), Use Emojis Anywhere (Both), 2000 characters (Free) to 4000 ($10) etc. Why should we have to pay $10 a month just to have access to using a banner? I understand that there are other things like the server boost every month and the more servers, but that even furthers my point of Classic getting neglected because Discord wants to make more money.
For Those Who Say That Discord Needs To Make More Profit:
We have to remember that they are offering a subscription service! Rarely do I see people doing one time buys other than to gift to friends or test it out or maybe to spend the little money they have for one month! Most of the times they pay for the service monthly as seen below are a few examples of my friends:
Also, if you would like to see some stats of how Discord's revenue has literally skyrocketed from 45 Million in 2019 to 130 Million in 2020 (which is a 188.88% increase), here you go:

(If any discord staff would like to correct me on the info above, I'll take it)
Discord has never had to use ads on their own platform because it has had huge success in marketing outside of their platform! On gaming websites and so on, reaching their target audiences! And with how much they've grown and how much money they make at this point, I don't see why they would need to run ads on their platform? I know that I simply found Discord from literally playing Overwatch and someone telling me about an Overwatch discord server where they hosted tourneys and such! So, not only their own advertisements to use discord but also the people using it, trying to gain members and such intro their own servers.
Why We Are Not Willing To Pay 5 Extra Dollars A Month To Gain Access To The Banner:
Why should we pay $10 if we will not even be using any of the other features? To people who are dealing with that dilemma, it's kind of like "Why should I pay an extra $5 dollars a month for a banner," which I think is a reasonable question to ask. Even if we get those extra perks, if we don't use them, what's the point? I think most of us know that you get many other things along with the banner, but like I stated in the differences between the two, there really isn't much. Though it is clear that Nitro Gaming is mainly for getting access to Nitro Games and Server Boosting while Nitro Classic is primarily for customization purposes.
Our Biggest Problem With The Banners As Of Now:
The fact that you gave three free months of Nitro Gaming to people who have never had Nitro (Classic and Gaming) before is quite annoying to see. I think it's great for people who have never really been able to experience this before, but seeing them get access to the new banner feature for free is quite upsetting for most of us who support you would like a taste of what the feature will be like. I think it would have been a good idea to allow Classic users to able to use the feature too with the possibility of people possibly even Upgrading. But, now you guys haven't even given us a taste of something new regarding personalization and you most likely plan to give every new feature to Nitro Gaming to up the chances of people upgrading to it. I think that Classic is still an important part of Discord and it would be a shame to see it lose it's value because of how the current updates are going.
Hard to Switch From Yearly Plan To Monthly Plan:
It's a shame that I have access to the Beta and can't even try out the Banner, and if I want to I have to change to the monthly plan of Classic ($5.00), wait until my yearly subscription is over, pay for another month, then be able to switch to Nitro Gaming. I think it would be good to offer it an option to change from Yearly to Monthly across plans instead of making it so I can only change to the yearly plan of Nitro ($100.00) if I want to switch between the two.
