Is there no way to suppress the push to talk key?

Is there no option to suppress/discard the push to talk key to prevent it from being entered as input in other applications? This is a staple feature in every voice chat program I've used in the last 2 decades. (See suppress option in mumble, discard option in teamspeak/ventrillo for example) It's incredibly annoying having my PTT key spammed in text boxes of games and applications because I'm communicating on discord with another application open. It's especially bothersome in games that actually require voice and text communication. I can't imagine that it wouldn't be an option in a modern communication client, but I cannot find a setting anywhere in discord. Am I overlooking it, or did the developers?
