Holiday events
Can you just please not waste time on this stuff. It's annoying. The new forced sounds on connect/disconnect/etc are dumb. Nobody gives a shit about "Holiday Events" unless it means cheaper stuff or free stuff. The market is oversaturated with it as it is and it's just annoying.
Discord's primary use is as a utility program. The thing that stops me from using it for my department at work is all of the dumb bells and whistles. The core features are great, but some of the kitsch periphery stuff makes for a hard sell when I'd love to use it because Gchat, Teams, and Zoom are trash.

I completely agree with this. Discord is the best group chat, video/voice calling, screen sharing app out there. It would be great if they would stop shoving things in our faces instead of just a small banner saying "hey we have this now go check it out" That you can close when you've read it.
These permanent UI elements, and the default-enabled sticker nag, really leave a bad taste. I'm paying €100/year for this shit, please stop advertising. It feels like mandatory company events after hours. Fun on paper, most people hate it.
