Advanced Troubleshooting and Devmode ping charts
I'm having some serious latency issues with Discord. I own a small IT business, and am able to troubleshoot most IT related issues myself. However, I'm a little confused with some of Discord's advanced troubleshooting options - specifically regarding some ping result charts.
Checking how to run a tracreoute for Discord I came across this post:
Excellent for troubleshooting, however I've noticed something strange.
when you use the ping plotter that's built into the app where you click on the "Voice Connected" hyperlink while signed into a channel, it will tell you the server name you are using and if you add .discord.gg to this you can ping it and traceroute it.
However, the chart that is provided in this shows me that I get 5000 ping whenever I get the timeouts in a channel. If I ping this address with WinMTR or something similar, I have no issues - no packetloss, no ping latency etc., but the chart built into Discord clearly shows I'm at super high latency - 5000 ping or more, and I obviously cant talk in the channel when this is the case. Yet, pinging that server in any other app shows its available and no issues.
Even more, if you go into the "Debug" menu, there is further information that is provided, however neither of those ping charts in either "Transport" or "Outbound" have any correlation with the ping chart that shows me spiking to 5000 ping when I have issues. Those charts in "Transport" and "outbound" show absolutely normal results.
Is there any explanation anywhere to show why there's a discrepancy between these charts and normal user performed ping or traceroute results?
