Remove Non-Friend Activity From "Active Now" Tab

I personally do not like seeing random Discord users' activities from the 200 servers I'm in on my Active Now tab. I would really encourage a toggled option to see only my friends' activity within the section if you must HAVE this as a feature. You gave us the option to hide ourselves from server members' Active Now tabs, but didn't give us the vice versa option of not having server members' activity in our own tab. It's not only personally annoying to me as I can't tell who in the Active Tab is actually from my long list of friends, but it also makes me feel like a creep even if they have the option to turn it off on their end. I would like the option to turn it off on my end, too, if you don't mind. Thank you for reading and I really hope you add this vice versa option.

    As far as I know, it only shows activity from familiar people, but yes, the Discordapp should definetly become a option to toggle this on/off.

    Clearly shows how familiar I feel these random people are to me when I see them in my tab and I feel like a creepo knowing what they're doing when I dunno who tf they are, lmao.

    Well, I'm on 100+ Server too but discord only shows me familiar people in the activity tab.

    I am raising the same issue. The more public communities you belong to, the more pronounced this problem is. Discord developers should recognize the dangers of random contact with an indeterminate number of people.

     

    When I contacted support, they simply said "it's just the way it is", and they were not willing to make any improvements. The current specification that even blocked users are displayed is fatal to the smooth operation of the Discord. At the very least, it should be possible to turn the function on and off, otherwise it is not truly usable.

    I continue to experience this issue. What actually classifies as ‘familiar’ anyway?

    Although this can be disabled in Settings>Privacy & Safety>Use data to customise my Discord experience
