Rich Presence support on Steam Deck
tl;dr On the Discord Linux version, add support for receive Rich Presence updates from Windows games running via Wine/Proton.
Steam Deck runs Steam OS, a Linux OS. The games run on the Steam Deck are the Windows versions. Steam Deck has a compatibility layer called Proton, which does everything needed for Windows games to run on Steam Deck. Proton is based on, among other things, the Wine project, which has for a long time been working to support Windows programs on Linux.
Discord has a native Linux version. On the Steam Deck, it's possible to install it through the "Discover" app. Although Discord on Steam Deck is set up to listen for Rich Presence updates, it's doing so in the Linux-specific way (with a socket file) instead of the Windows way (with a named pipe).
My request is: On Linux, provide a shim that leverages Wine to listen on the Windows named pipe, and forward those messages to the socket file. Or, provide some other way for games running under Wine/Proton to communicate with Linux Discord.
There is already community work trying to do this. In particular…

Still hoping one day they'll add this...
