Channel specific role priority/hierarchy in the member list

I've always thought it's strange that there isn't already a feature that allows you to set different role orders on the member list per channel/category.

For example if a server has different sections, with different staff members for each section of the server, instead of having to prioritize which staff is on the top of the list, or having to put ALL of the staff members on the top of the list, you could simply make x staff be at the top of the member list in x channel/category, and y staff be at the top of y channel/category

I've seen similar requests before but they've all been posted at least 3 years ago and I haven't seen or heard of anything related since.
