There is a bot called Ticket Tool (there are probably multiple bots that do the same) that you can use to have a ticket system. There will be a channel visible for all where you can create a ticket and then the bot will create a new channel in a ticket category that is only visible for the ticket creator and staff.

I personally find ticket tools only really needed for bigger servers (as in... 50-100k? as per my estimation).

There is the option to disable reading message history on channels for members. However, it also means that members still can read whatever is written within the current session (no matter who writes it) - so this is probably not what you are looking for.

What you can do is create a private channel that is visible for the moderation team and then have a role that has the permission to view and write in it. Whenever someone wants to talk to you, they can ask for the role to talk in there. If you want to take things to DM anyway, I would personally prefer to encourage your members to approach you with issues personally in the first place. This will feel more personal and trustful than starting out in a channel where they dont know who is going to come back to them.

I hope that helps somehow <3
Have a great Saint Nick's day (hope you put out your socks tonight and found some chocolate inside the next morning :P ).

You can always create a channel and disallow normal members to read the message history. OR use a bot like Ticket Tool or ModMail.
