(ctrl+)shift+arrow keys for markup

Hi there!
When I select text with mouse it shows markup options, but when i select it with keyboard only (ctrl+)shift+arrow keys, markup options don't show up. I get that I can type the symbols, but it would be nice to have that bubble appear when selecting with keyboard. Then select the markup option by tab and press enter to confirm..?
