2FA Codes not working

Happened a few days ago as well. Not sure if this is a temporary issue which lasts for hours or days. 
It's happening again. I've always used Google Authenticator for 2FA verification/sign-in. But it's telling me the code is wrong. 
So I can't sign in. 
Does anyone know why this happens or how to resolve it ?
