Account hacked, sent a ticket in, didn't hear anything back and just sent in another one after 12 days only for that one to be assigned to someone but closed without a reply or anything

    still no updates and they're still useless. paypal denied my transaction dispute for nitro from 02/26 that I got to use until 03/17 when my account was hacked, so tell me how that makes sense

     

    Apparently asking about suing them gets you a “pending approval” tag on a comment but hey they can go right to hell so I can shove my boot where it's dark

    Welp, either the hacker who stole my OG account or discord deleted it it 1 month and 1 day after it was taken. Don't know if thats progress or if the inbred got bored

    I've been ignored by discord support for 57 days now after a scam, the ticket having been made the night of, and I am so upset right now.

  • Update on my situation: after 3 months, I got my account back today. I do believe they are severely backed up, especially since a lot of discord employees were laid off. I hope that everyone that is/was in my situation gets their account back. It’s really a scary situation and I hope discord can get caught up to be able to assist hacked accounts quicker.

    It seems a lot of people either get ignored by discord in that sense, or get their tickets constantly closed/marked solved without the issue being fixed. It's a shame that the support is what it is right now with the amount of tickets they receive each day. I've gone through 8 tickets now with no help and just automated responses thus far with my account. Been hacked since Feb 19th, so almost 3months now. *sigh*

    March 18th 2024 is when the scam occurred and the ticket was open, so it's only been about two months.

    And I'm so happy for you tantacion girl! That at least makes me feel a little bit better, but it's so SO upsetting knowing your account is being used for nefarious purposes. The scam I fell for was one that relied on stolen accounts to get more victims (The “I mass reported u by accident” scam specifically) so knowing for a fact that my account has probably sent hundreds of those messages to scam people hurts me on a physical level.

    Don't worry fam, I'm blind too (Not literally but my eyesight is dogshit lol)

    I'll keep y'all updated on if I get mine back or not, they left a note on one of my open tickets today (the kind you can't see, the one where it says there's activity but Discord hasn't said anything) but it was after I opened another ticket begging for some answers, so there's probably a high chance it was them leaving a note saying “Haha screw this loser, don't answer the ticket or just delete the account”

    I fell for a validation scam a few months back and got a response saying there’s nothing they can do about my request twice— once last month (where I made a new acc), and once today after I made a few new tickets when my friend (who fell for the scammer using my old account) let me know they got their account back a few weeks ago.

    I think discord has a policy about not continuing to make tickets on matters they already said they can’t help with, but I hear conflicting information from the community. Does anyone have any clarity on if it’s worth making new tickets for situations like this?

    I was hacked Feb19th, made a total of 9 tickets over almost exactly 3 months.

    Today I made my 9th, with the only major changing being that I marked it in the ticket creation that I got an email saying my account email was changed. Within 1 minute I had an email confirming they started investigating. exactly 1hr 20min after ticket creation I had the account back.

    All 8 of my previous tickets were marked solved and said the same thing you're probably getting. So there is hope, but it does feel like rng on whether your case is dealt with or not considering the quantity of ticket they get and the number of employees in the department.

    That does sound like you had crazy luck; congrats. I’ve been thinking about making another ticket, I just worry about getting blacklisted or something for making too many tickets on one issue.

    My account got taken when I fell for one of those “i accidentally reported you” scams. My account seems intact thank god but if they touch it and start sending messages I will be real fcking angry with that hacker.

    I havent gone as long but I’m praying I don have to wait 2 months. They really need to hire more staff. This is sad how long many people have waited.
