The lack of actions shows Discord you're the problem
Dear Discord Team,
I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding a recent event that has severely impacted both my friend and me. Our accounts have been compromised, and our personal information amassed over years has been exposed, despite our tech-savvy backgrounds. This incident has shaken our trust in your platform, and it serves as a stark reminder that security holes can be exploited, even in well-established systems.
What are we paying for? Your subscription model offers us aesthetic perks, but lacks the robust security features that we need. We don't need more glitz and glamor if the foundation of our accounts is crumbling. The departure of many of your team members has only exacerbated the issue. How can this platform function as a viable messaging system for schools, businesses, and average users when even basic security needs are not being met?
The current state of affairs forces us to hold our friends accountable for security breaches, as if it were a job we don't get paid for. This is unacceptable. Your security team must step up. Why should we choose Discord when the security of our accounts can't even meet basic 2024 standards? Families, children, and countless others rely on this platform for daily communication, yet are left vulnerable by your lax approach to security.
I will no longer support your platform with my subscription to Nitro. Your disregard for security practices is not only disappointing, but it puts your users at risk. If you fail to address these concerns, expect your users to take their business elsewhere.

They banned my account too and they didn't even say why. I just switched to Revolt Chat.
