Discord Support Is In An Unacceptable State
This is absolutely atrocious. I cannot fathom how a company like this has such a terrible support team. I'm a Tech Support Engineer, and any company I've ever worked for would have instantly fired me if this was how I behaved. This situation needs to be rectified immediately, otherwise Discord's reputation will become untenable. No one will want to work for you when they see this, and users will abandon ship once they figure out support is this bad.
The support team doesn't respond to tickets, and they don't even tell you that the request is closed. You can try reopening, but they're just going to keep you locked out of your account. I noticed my request was closed without anything being said. That is one of the largest no-no's in the industry.
If you want to reduce the amount of tickets you're receiving, you need to handle the tickets quickly to prevent users from getting desperate. Take this from an ACTUAL professional in this field.
If someone claims their account has been hacked, the only thing you need to verify is the original email and username. Check to see if the email and/or phone number have been changed. You quite literally shouldn't need anything else. The solution is rather simple: revert the changes made to the account. If that can be provided, you should be able to return the account to the original owner within a matter of minutes, not months.
The longer this goes on, the more problems that will arise. The situation is going to get worse, FAR WORSE, if nothing is changed.

Making a new ticket got a human response after about an hour. Shocking that the difference between requesting to have an account deleted and having an account returned to you is so disparate.

Were you ever able to get your account back? Did going through Microsoft work? Because I’ve sent in like 4-5 requests which all have had bot responses saying “we can’t do anything” then suggesting to use a QR code for an account that has 0 access for any of that. If anything, if I just stop making requests and start replying to the latest one even if it’s closed as long as it eventually get someone to see it then fine. But it’s so upsetting to realize they don’t take the time to look at all my evidence and still sit there with bots saying they can’t revert my email back

Well, the good news is that I got an probably automated response that says that the ban was justified. Never really said what I did wrong or how long the “"temporary” ban would last

Just got an email back saying they “confirmed the violation” even though I know damn well that is a LIE. I quite literally broke zero rules and they still thought they could LIE to my face.

keep fighting it, I plan on doing so

Marionette Nope, still waiting. At this point I'm waiting for the account deletion, and then it'll probably be back into fighting the bots to get my account back.

@Ghoosderi I guess the bot assumes that the picture is from an elder brother

Waiting 22 days for support without any sight of when they will respond (especially if it is a matter of urgency - ownership transfer) is unacceptable…

Unfortunately Discord is a big company with millions of followers, backed by Chinese companies waiting to be fed all the information Discord gets. Such a platform is a rare find, and no matter what we do, we are still lost voices in a dark alleyway nobody pays attention to until they're sucked in and join us.
Discord is rich. And as they say, the rich only get richer. For those still fighting, remember that you are an unyielding sword that can never physically dull. Hope is what fortifies your blade, so keep on swinging and maybe one day Discord will get to you as the thorn in their side.
For those feeling hopeless, perhaps today is a day you look for a better life outside of Discord where you can enjoy things that aren't backed by greed.4 -
Yeah, but what this really needs is some more publicity, tbh. All it takes is an few good YouTubers to start spreading the word about how terrible the entire process is

So, I ran some numbers and it turns out that people are filing an average of 30,000 requests per day, of I'm.right

They declined my appeals for a total of 4 times now with the EXACT SAME response, they try to make it sound like it's temporary, but they know damn well it's permanent

This post explains everything on why Discord Support is lazy. I just got my main account hacked on June 29 at around midnight after I fell for the "i accidentally reported you" scam.

Yeah, but it's not like we can sue them for being lazy, right?

Maybe try our best to be patient for our accounts to come back, despite our tickets already being marked as "solved" for no reason. Who cares?

Yeah, all I'm doing is tagging them on Twitter every once in an while
1 -
Oh, nice.

Yet another request closed, so yet another request being opened. I'm not going anywhere until I get my account back, Discord
2 -
Same, but who knows? Maybe I'll just do something else then...or not, I don't know.

I finally got through to a human. I'm thinking that the person who got my account deletion request looked into the request I linked them to and saw that this was a legitimate issue that had been ongoing for a month. So, within a day of of the new issue being opened, I now have my account back. Still unfortunate and unacceptable that this process took a month, and I'm still very unhappy with you, Discord.
This does mean there's hope for you all if you manage to get through to a human. Just gotta be persistent.2 -
Gamjt That's good to hear that you got your account back. How many tickets have you submitted for you account by the way? Because I've submitted 13 tickets, I submitted a few with a help of someone on here, but they still didn't work because all I got is automated bot messages like everyone else including you did.
