Public Servers with a Private Guild

Guilds seem amazing at first glance, but although I was invited to the program, I don't think I'll convert my gaming server into a Guild. I think it would be cool to have Guilds as a part of a normal server. For example, I can have a public server that anyone can join, but a few of the people (even up to 100 would be fine) can be Guild Members. They get the Guild Tag and a role that is exclusive to the Guild members.

For example, a clan with a public facing YouTube channel would want their subscribers to have a place to hang out while still enabling Guild features. It seems counterintuitive to me that this isn't yet possible.
