Can't send chat messages

I'm trying to send a message to a friend and whenever i hit enter, it just creates a new line rather than sending the message.

    This isn't the place to submit bug reports. In the future, to submit a bug, shoot a message to Discord at support@discordapp.com.

    In the meantime, a new line is created (usually) on desktop by holding Shift and pressing Enter. On Windows, make sure you don't have Sticky Keys enabled while typing. For mobile, hitting Return on your keyboard will create a new line. You need to hit the send button ("Send" on iOS, an airplane icon on Android) for the message to send.
