Nicknames That Are The Same As A User’s Current Tag

In one of my discords, we set everyone’s nickname to match their username on an external site. The problem is, if a user’s discord tag is already the same as their username, their nickname doesn’t save. Then, if those people change their tag, they don’t have a nickname on our server, so their display name no longer matches their username on the external website. So, I am requesting that discord makes it so that nicknames will save even if it is the same as the user’s current tag so that their display name on a server will stay the same even if they change their tag.

  Yes, this logic breaks the whole name changing permission idea. What's the point of nickname changing permission if people can workaround it?
