This would be great and I would love to see this implemented. Discord is used to coordinate guilds, podcasts, friend communities and having a shared calendar would be incredibly helpful for coordinating server events.

    Bump this!

There is currently sadly not a way to create a calendar into Discord directly.

But there is an alternative way: There is a bot called Time Table, what makes exactly this possible.
    You can see it here

There is no such thing “not a way” from a technical perspective. Discord devs have all the tools to make it work. The issue is the bad project management and backlog prioritisation.

Can we get this feature? Its two years old, and still one of the best ideas yet. Many discord communities would benefit from being able to schedule events!

    Yes!
We need a calendar system for our community to organize our IRL meeting (with attendees).

It's been over two years. We can likely safely assume they just aren't going to do it.

Well this kind of feature request works on how many are requesting it
We should made more clash about this need

Its funny how most of the systems Discord is chasing after have a calendar as a default and yet they’re investing time in voice chat features to copy Zoom or Teams. I know teams has a calendar, so.. 🤣

    Just use Guilded.

Well, we are waiting for this for quite a long time. Discord's team don't seems like they want to implement it. Maybe microsoft will...

    Microsoft?

Yes they are trying to buy Discord. Maybe they'll be more enthusiastic about this feature.

If your a gaming community maybe look into https://www.guilded.gg/ it looks like they are introducing an api doc for developers to make bots soon. I feel like this was the only feature discord really had over it. Once that releases not sure if discord will have the hill alone might finally have some competition.

Competition means a few things, but hopefully it means discord will add a damn calendar already!!!

We literally needed this years ago. Would be the best functional feature they could add. As the comment above me said, Guilded has this feature, and communities might switch purely because they cant organize events on discord.

And its still not here… of course threads are more useful for streamers and gaming community (because that’s definitely not the majority of users). I don’t actually think that discord has the skills to develop it hence we still don’t have it

I'm seeing more gaming communities moving to Guilded because of their integrated calendar to schedule events and meetings. I'm stunned that we don't have it integrated in discord yet. Discord is wanting to reach communities outside of gaming, but most of those want a calendar as well. Since there isn't even a hint of an upcoming calendar in the Discord blog, we can only assume Discord will never have it and will fade away like Mumble, Raidcall, Ventrilo, and others. It's too bad because I much prefer Discord over Guilded. The writings on the wall, though, when gaming communities consisting of hundreds and even thousands of members are making the jump to Guilded. It's probably a good thing Microsoft didn't invest any money in Discord. It would have been a waste as Discord gets buried by Guilded.

A not very popular opinion: Discord will end up like Blizzard nowadays.
When the time comes, they will give everything people want, but at that time people won't trust Discord anymore in terms of quality and user-friendly behavior.

Also, players won't have to return to Discord because there will be many more (better?) options for game communication and community building.

Once gaming standards will be hidden behind a "pay" wall and a more known alternative to Discord will appear, the descent for Discord will begin.

So Discord CEO you can learn from the mistakes of other companies or go down like them.
    It is your choice

I honestly don’t think that any of the discord managers even look at this. They have their own agenda and they couldn’t care less what their users want. And with that, I guess, its time to move to Guilded.

Hopefully, there is some progress being made on this, and Discord's devs are looking into this. Discord has now evolved from being just a platform for gamers. It's an ecosystem hub for web3, which means there are "professionals" that are using Discord for various things. The addition of events and being able to schedule events is great, but we need to be able to import those events into external calendars like Google calendar, iCal, or Outlook. For example, I'm an attorney so my external calendar is critical and I need to be able to quickly integrate the events I'm interested in into my meatspace calendar. I think it's a great opportunity to add a feature that will expand the user base. Why would anyone even consider using something like Slack if they can just use Discord for everything?

We're hoping to use Discord to manage a couple of small Car Clubs, and events and recurring meetings on a calendar are a must.
    Has this been implemented yet??

Have seen links to various "bots" but no idea how to tell which is any good without trying them all I guess?

As gamers who like being organized… this desire to schedule gaming sessions was felt in the bones (after adult life happened)

So we build this calendar app specially designed for gamers. We are calling it the calendar layer for Discod.

    https://atomcal.com/blog/the-calendar-layer-for-discord/

Read how you can create events, sync your work calendars (google), mark availabilities to schedule gaming sessions via Atomcal

Funny stumbling upon this I've been making my own simple site (https://github.com/Inrixia/discordcalendar) to display the current event system discord has created in a calendar format.

It's mainly for guilds I'm in that use discord events for scheduling things where it's difficult to figure out conflicts when you can only see the events in a list format.

If anyone happens upon this post maybe it could help you.
