    Yes! something like this would be so good! I've got a mockup, could possibly do without the stroked text though (it was a side effect from photoshop). A background, and added translucent gradient in front of it.

    I honestly think it should be for all users. Other gaming platforms like steam have this already and I think it would make sense to do that here as well.

    Your profile is a representation of yourself. Currently Discord is lacking some of the customization that their competitors have on it and I think making this free for everyone would be a good way to get the ball rolling.

    La verdad no me parece bien ya que los usuarios que no podemos tener nitro no podríamos tener el fondo, estaría bien que pusieran la de fondo en movimiento para los que usen nitro y para los que no puedan tener nitro que podamos tener una imagen cualquiera

    But they can make the activity colors show up as a border around the background of your profile I guess.

    You mean the dark bar where your name and badges are shown? To make it look actually cool, it would need to be barely visible and "activity" colors would have to be deleted (when you are online, the bar is grey, when you are in-game, the bar is blue).

    The concept is pretty nice. Could even have a custom smaller version that shows when you click on someone's name in a server. Just hope it wouldn't eat up too many resources or take too long to load.

    I have done a quick custom background mockup using bootleg-ish Whitney fonts Discord uses for their UI. (EDIT: The background is from PhotoDisc from my friend, you can get it at archive.org)

    Might also be neat to allow the same image to show up when the user is clicked on in a server, behind the avatar. Just squashing the image should do to make it fit.

    Would be nice to have more customisation for profiles. The same way as Steam has many ways of customising a profile discord should have the same.
