Bulk Actions
Discord could benefit from adding bulk actions, similar to how we handle emails in Gmail. This would let us choose several items at once and do stuff like add or remove friends, pin or unpin messages, delete, copy, and more. It'd make it easier to manage messages, users, channels, categories, servers, roles, and DMs. Imagine being able to unfriend a bunch of users or delete a heap of messages all at once. That would be super helpful.

I disagree with Glenn McGrew's proposal to combine this thread with others on his list. The feature requests are too different. Checkboxes were not asked for in my feature request. Deleting messages based on age are not at all what I asked for. The need to be able to delete not just your own messages but others' messages is a very important missing feature that supersedes all these little niche requests that only loosely relate to it. If the ability to delete messages and even entire conversations were to be implemented, many of those niche requests would be resolved. So many people are requesting more to be done with message deletion that the threads are indeed filling up with them. But it's a testament to the user community's passion about this issue.

That appears to be a command for a specific bot and a bulk clear role is not present in the API reference...

"the Python library" first, there are multiple, and second, the library is irrelevant, as there are no officially supported libraries.

Dyno just loops through all of the people with the role, it can take hours, this works just fine, since this isn't abusing the api, it respects ratelimits.

Donovan_DMC taking hours isn't an option, the role would need to be readily available for when a users restarts an event (which usually occurs minutes after a previous event finishes and if a separate tasks overlap removing a user then, that would kind of defeat the whole purpose of the role).
Also, I'd rather not impact the bots responsiveness...

While I don't think it's exactly what you're mentioning, there's a Members tab that allows you to quickly add roles without having to click on names. You can also filter by role and search by name there. Not sure if you knew about it, as it took me a while to actually realize it was there, but it's pretty similar in concept.

Funnily enough I did notice this tab only after making my post; however, I feel while this method may be faster than right clicking on each member and clicking the checkboxes that having a dedicated list within each role's settings would not be a repetitive addition if that makes sense.

Most messaging and e-mail platforms I've encountered have a button you can press/click that lets you click the radio buttons for messages you want to Bulk Delete, then you hit "OK" or "DELETE" in order to complete the action.
We have all been there. There are a ton of messages you want deleted, but it's a pain to get your bot to delete ONLY the messages you want removed, and doing it manually is a lot of click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-click-CLICK-CLICK-CLICK-CLICK-CLICK-CLICK-....I think you get my point! X^DI would like for it to be easier. Maybe make it so that, on the Desktop/Browser platform, a person can click and drag to highlight the posts they want removed? Or even the separate Bulk Delete feature I mentioned above would be great too. Thanks for the consideration!

Deleting messages should include the messages you've received from others as well, not just your own.
