    4 years and nothing. Unbelievable.

The earliest I've seen this asked for is nearly 7 years ago. I'm a programmer, this is not a complex feature to add, and the fact that it hasn't been added yet is honestly pitiful.

The fact that they can charge so much for a service (and increase the price over the years) yet blatantly ignore basic feature requests for years is honestly a joke.

    Do better, be better.

What pisses me off is the lack of any response in several years. Even when people has made separate support tickets and stuff for years.

It such a small thing to ask for and 900+ people has asked for it. Come on Discord...

+1 Since Discord detects software as game which clearly isn't. (Soundpad in my case.)

    +1 still needed

4 years later and this still isnt an option? Its not even about hiding certain apps, I have a lot of things open at once and would like have one shown other another. Im sure this would not be hard to implement. I pay nitro for the upkeep of this app and expect QOL features not just higher file limits and animated emojis.

There's no reason I can think of that this shouldn't be a feature, I have certain games I don't want to announce, but some I do. Not that complex.

+1 this is still ridiculous that it hasn’t been implemented

I've made my post over TWO YEARS AGO, and this issue has not gotten a single dev into it, Its a shame. People would really benefit from this (Especially me, now that i'm on Linux Discord has gone haywire on detecting games, detecting every single thing as a game).

I posted years ago as well, this is still a major issue since it assumes detection is perfect, and it's far from. Implementing this would remove the need for Discord application detection to be perfect.

This continues to be a constant source of annoyance. Why can't we have an app blacklist?

Using the new Clyde AI bot I asked it:

"Can we hide specific games to not show up in our gaming activity?"

    And it replied:

"Yes! You can hide spcific games from your game acitivity by going to your Discord User Settings, selecting "Games", and then toggling off games you no longer want to show up in your activity feed."

This, however, doesn't work for me :) Any of you guys?

not work for me, discord please finally add this... :D

They had the ability years ago.  But they removed it for some reason.  I guess they didn't update Clyde bot to reflect that.  Why would they remove this function?  Advertising.

Looks like I missed the fourth birthday of this issue. But yeah, my problem as a developer is overdetection. Let me check off shit I don't want Discord to advertise, thank you very much.

Please, i just want to show Spotify instead of Bluestacks, which I have always open running in the background. Let us choose which activity we want to show/prioritize and which ones we want to hide.

At the very least look into activity/status on Linux.

This is really needed. Serious privacy issue for some and an annoyance for everyone else. In my case I use VR, and I use the OVR Advanced Settings mod which shows up and takes precedence no matter what I'm playing. It's a really stupid feature, why have it at all when it's this pathetic?

Are they ignoring this thread out of spite or on purpose? Why can't we even get a "yes" or "no"?

The fair assumption after 4 years is incompetence

I don't know why but my previous comment is stuck on "Pending approval"...

Yes, we want to stop the automatic game registration for games/applications we don't want to display. In other words, we want to have the capability to unregister certain games that appear in the Registered Games settings in Discord. That's all we ask for.
