IP authorization link expires too fast
In order to connect from a new computer, I enter my email address and password. Then, I get a captcha, then a message saying I need to verify my new IP address by checking an email. The email server I use is slow, it often takes a few minutes for the email to arrive. By the time I click, the link has expired and I need to start again with the same result.
In order to post this message, I was redirected to a login page. Which asked me to solve a captcha and sent another email that arrived too late until it finally worked. Overall it took me 20 minutes to connect.

I could log in to my account in my PC with no problem, but I've been trying with my phone for 2 and a half hour and I can't log in due the IP authorization has expired.

This is so frustrating. I’m doing this from my cellphone and I am give almost no time to actually click on the verification link before it expires. I don’t even think im given a full minute

For anyone experiencing this issue on their phone, there is a workaround. Most mobile browsers have a function that allows you to request the desktop version of a website (e.g. on chrome you have to press the three dots on the bottom right, and on safari the aA button at the top left). Once your page is set to Desktop Website, just go to:
https://discord.com/channels/@me
That allowed me to log in, which in turn made the app work as well!
And as for the verification link expiring too fast, what happened in my case was that I thought I was typing the wrong password and then decided to create a new password. Turned out I wasn’t entering the wrong password, the red message below the field was just saying they had sent me a verification link (but silly me being too lazy to read, I thought it was giving me a wrong password message)… They probably should make that message green instead of red!
Anyways, the reason why the verification link had expired so quickly was because I had changed my password in the meantime.1
