Chat goes blurry when other person is typing

I use a 1440p monitor if it matters, on Windows 10, and use the "compressed" IRC-style chat view rather than the modern one.

About half the time when another person starts typing, or when I tab over from another window, the entire chat goes blurry as if it's misaligned by a quarter-pixel or so. It's really bothering me.

To reproduce:
1. be in a DM with one other person

2. have that other person start typing (chat may go blurry).

If that doesn't work on its own,

1. open chrome

2. open discord in a background tab, visible behind or next to chrome so that you can click it. Have the same situation as earlier with a DM with one person.

3. click chrome to bring chrome into focus (ex: start typing up a bug report)

4. have other person start typing, while discord is still in the background (so that the "person is typing" indicator appears)

5. click discord

The text of the entire chat should go blurry.
