Nitro Boosted Servers - Animated Icon - Play When Selected

Greetings all!

 

Considering the animated server icon perk for nitro boosted servers, the description says we can "represent your server...in motion! (Only in server)" which makes me think that while the server is selected, the server icon will be animated.

However, during our own testing, we can only make the icon animate itself whilst we are hovering the cursor over the server icon. If we are doing anything else in the server, such as reading or typing messages, the server icon remains static.

 

I have seen some other feedback posts saying that all animated server icons should play all the time. I disagree with this, and I think a sidebar full of animated server icons would be very distracting.

My alternate suggestion is that if the currently selected server has an animated icon, that icon should loop* until such time that the user switches away to another server.

    After further examination it appears this is working as intended.

    It is beyond me how mobile can have an animated icon with the server selected, but desktop can not, nor does it have the option to enable animated icons on selected servers.

     

    I am afraid you may as well disregard this request as most users in the community are simply going to stop paying for nitro and we will revert to a fully free service.
