Nice to have for teachers

As a teacher using discord for work I would like to see the following:

  • The most important thing for me would be increasing the limit on the number of videos in a channel from 25 to 30. Having to work around this limit sucks...
  • Ability to group offline users by their role.
    (We have a role for each class)

  • Able to minimize groups (roles) of users.
    (I don't have to see all the classes)

  • Send invites with a role attached to it
    (joining with a specific link assigns a role, this would save a lot of work)

I have also found a bug that the "send random welcome message" turns itself back on and looks like on when it's off and that confuses the save button.

    I completely agree - these features would be crucial if I (a teacher) were to consider moving my lectures to Discord full-time. Which is something I wish I could do - as I enjoy a lot of the features Discord provides.

    One option for the automatic roles is to add a bot ( https://top.gg ) to your server that has Reaction Role features. Then, create a reaction role message to where students can click on a specific emoji to get their specific role.

    Otherwise, great suggestion.

    Using a bot and have the students self assign their role doesn't work, many are completely new to discord and we don't want them assigning multiple or wrong roles. We need control over this. 

    I'm planning to use a bot for FAQ functionality since there are a lot of questions I get asked over and over again :)
