Discord Chat Window Minimize Concept
Hello!
I cooked up a quick feature that we can see above. Essentially, the Discord tab would be able to minimize into a small corner like this if we would like. This way, we can monitor our chats while doing something else, perhaps writing a document above like this or watching a movie. It would stay on this channel/DM. If the user would like to alter where the chat will be, they can expand it and move like normal.

This is a pretty good idea! Would be for sure useful when doing something else like using Reddit while still having discord open

Great Idea if you are working on an essay or just, in general, doing something else. Allow it to be edited like moved around the screen into a position to where someone likes it. Resize at any time. Then when they don't need it the can close it out.

I neeeeed it. This would be fuckin fanTASTIC for people like me, college students who like to talk while they work. Please implement this Discord, and ASAP.

I love this. The only missing element IMO is an indicator of the current server you're in, click on it to open a list of server icons to switch between. That and perhaps OS standard minimize & close buttons. But seriously this is a beautiful idea and a great execution, Discord would be wasting free design work and R&D if they ignore this.

This feature would be nice to have. I guess this is achievable as there is already a functionality for the popout for the video chats and live streams, maybe there is a possibility to reuse that and implement it to the chat.
Would love to see this feature in production builds.

So basically, it is an overlay but you can use it everywhere. Very welcome idea. Also the illustration is well-made.

Discord give us this feature, it is an amazing idea. I would love to have the option to choose between the normal overlay and this.

the overlay for me doesn't work for me (it only works with steam games, not sure whether that was intended) so this would be GREAT, I am not a mac user but they should make this feature so mac users can enjoy it too
edit: overlay works but is slow and also only works on steam games, I still really want this added though2 -
Definitely upvote that should be a feature for people who like multitasking on another level and nice concept art
