The way the new Reply feature is displayed is confusing; the eye is drawn to the reply before being drawn to the quote

So this made its way to a server I'm on, and I'm finding it super confusing to read. Because of the way the quotes are displayed in the new Reply feature, the reply stands out more than the quote, and your (or at least my) eyes are drawn to the reply first, before being drawn to the quote. That results in reading it in the reverse order (which is very confusing!) unless you make a deliberate effort to fight the way your eyes are drawn to visual elements that stand out more before ones that stand out less.
