Ban/Warning Suggestion

I would like to see more options than just permanently banning someone. I would like to have the option to warning and issue temporary bans that expire after a set amount of time. It would also be nice if when we give a warning, temp ban or perma ban that the user receive some sort of notification with a reason. Discord is great but there is a lack of different ways to deal with problems because not every situation warrants a permanent ban.

    Will steps be taken to ensure that moderators have more-effective tools for mitigating the efforts of bad actors? I'm concerned specifically with those individuals who intentionally violate the rules (often with the intention of being outwardly vitriolic), and then come back under alternate usernames. As it stands – and contrary to popular opinion – moderators are little more than wet sponges tasked with wiping away graffiti OneVanilla
