I like the concept but the execution comes off as an extremely hostile competitive environment. Only allowing one person to get a reward per event discourages actually chatting for fear of missing your chance to type the trigger. Instead you just have people sitting in the channel staring at the screen waiting to type the response command.
The dupe system compounds this even further, since at high numbers of items you are effectively no longer playing to gain items, you are playing to prevent other people from gaining items, effectively making the current top players gatekeepers.
These combine to really kill the spirit of fun this bot seems intended to create. An effective way to correct this would simply be to make everybody who responds within a very short window, a couple of seconds at most, gain an item. This would reward people for actively chatting and paying attention to the channel.
