Grandfathered perks & Nitro suggestion

Yes we all knew it was coming, the day the perks get cut off and we're back to classic.

However, hear me out.

Me and my partner have been nitro og yearly subscribers since it came out in 2017, and we both have the grandfathered perks, but at the end of these perks, we have to pay 20 euros a month for basically just a few emotes. The animated avatars are very very very rarely used, the boosts on the servers are basically only for emoji slots and definitely not worth the price, there is just nothing that would make me actually spend this much for a service like discord.

If there was some combo family deal, or maybe a Refer a Friend type of thing that offered extra perks/discount, this would be more attractive. But as it stands, it's just not worth it, as much as I would like to support discord.

In fact, the loss of these perks makes me reconsider subscription altogether, as most of the emotes I use are already present on the servers I'm on. The classic one just won't do it. If it at least included one server boost i can definitely see a LOT more people subscribing to nitro.

Discord, as a long standing supporter, I beg you to please rework your nitro scheme, it's sad as hell at the moment. Seems like vast majority of grandfathered people share this opinion and will reconsider their subscription as well, and I really really want to give you my money, i just don't feel like paying 200 euros a year for myself and my partner for basically... nothing.

    I do agree by this in saying the benefits for nitro as it stands now are only the most basic of things, that honestly I feel a lot of even the normal users should just have outright. Granted we all knew this would come eventually. For one person having to pay in full, those with the grandfather perks couldn’t last forever. I love discord and will continue to support it myself and for the communities I manage/play part in, but man does it seem like a real stab in the gut to be doubled over in price for so little a change.
