user left group message

It can get annoying when you've got a user message group that hasn't been used in months (or longer!), that suddenly alerts you that you've got a new message and jumps to the top of your messages, only to say that someone's left the group. It would be nice if message groups older than 3 months didn't ping you or jump to the top of your messages when someone leaves it.  Or at least, if we could have an option to turn that feature on/off, that'd be wonderful :)
