Allow the merging of discord accounts
I would like discord to add the ability to merge account data, this seems like a soltuion that should not be *too* difficult to program in but seeing as I've never really handled databases before I speak from a place of no experience. Many people on discord for some reason or another will end up with multiple user accounts and need to merge them back together for various reasons but they are not able to. now you might say, what about server bans? kicks? mutes? server bots?. Simply provide an api request that allows bots to check for "merged" accounts within their database and leave the merging of that bots data up to those developers to take the load off discords back. also, if a user is banned in one server, they should be alerted that they'll lose access to a certain server and that to have a no issue merge that they should first see that servers staff about being unbanned.

Agreed! I also accidentally have two accounts because of different invites from different communities and accepting on different devices. Would really love to be able to merge them.

Yes I completely agree, I have this entirely new email account just for Discord, cause my last one doesn't seem to work. I feel like it would be much more convenient to have it all in one

Clearly, I'm not the only one with this issue. Considering that invite links don't even offer you the chance to log in, there is an obvious need for this ability.

I'm also in this situation. Should be very great! Even if my partner will not see the messages merged - so only I would be able to see also the messages from the old account - it should be very good.

Definetly. I couldn't find my old account for the longest so I started a new one. I finally found it and would like to merge the two so I can have the original date of creation and the separate infos combined. Make this possible discord.

ME ALSO!!! Please add a Merge function!! My original GameVegan account (this one) has 2FA attached that I can't see, resetting password via email doesn't work, but if you used a mobile like I did the first time, and since had got rid of the 2FA apps... guess what, you can't access the account LOL!!
So I either need this account @gamevegan removed or merged with my new GameVegan#12345!!

THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN! This was posted 2 years ago... I'm surprised it hasn't been implemented. I now have 3 accounts which kinda sucks.

This issue needs to quit being slept on,,the way invites and such work this issue is caused directly by Discord and causes serious issues. Please fix it to where 2 accounts held by same user can be combined. it will help to fix the part that has you link phone, i believe this is part of the issue with people having multiple accounts and not meaning to.

Adding another up-vote to this! .. I've ended up with two accounts and would ideally like to merge them rather than loose history or have to re-add all the channels. Even if chat history is lost on one account, it would at least be a step in the right direction to merge the channel lists.

Yes, this is really a very necessary feature, especially for Admins. I have dozens of people who keep creating a second account for some reason.

I also find myself in this situation, it's ridiculously easy to start a new account by clicking the wrong log-in option. I now find myself in the same discord chat as my old self, while my old self is credited with being a patreon supporter, and my new self is not. My new self is signed up to several channels, so it makes more sense to keep.

Not even sure how I ended up with two accounts. Only realized it when I tried to change my email address and it said the address was already in use! They both have the same name, even, just different # numbers after. It would be great to be able to fix this as I ended up with different friends and servers on the different accounts.

I as well would like this functionality, as a friend and I are merging our online presence into one brand and we don't want to lose our separate followers by merely discontinuing one of the servers.

Yep, this should exist, especially because of how Discord manages invite links.
