Sub groups inside server channels?

Hey,

Playing wow atm, and was thinking about a feature that would be helpful for many (i think)

In several games u have ranks. Leaders, officers, members, trials etc.

In my case, we are a guild using loot council in WoW Classic, and everytime the council discusses loot distribution, they start typing in the ingame officer chat, instead of talking.
Thats because they are in the same channel as everyone else in the raid.

We do have several channels, so they could swap and discuss it, but thats annoying to do.

How about adding a channel inside a main channel. Where both channels hears the main channel, but for example:
Officers could add 2 push to talk buttons, 1 for each of the channels they are active in. So when they use 1 of them and talk to main channel (raid), everyone hears.

When they use a push to talk, only the ppl inside ex: "loot council" hears, without swapping in and out of channels.

Got the point?
And would that be both possible AND a feature good enough to put time and effort into?
