it was fine how it was. please change it back. now i cant simply @jorn [enter] and delete once to avoid pinging them when i want to say something to them.

pinging people just to respond to them is stupid af. i just want to type their name fast and now you have prevented that. good job.

  You can type a backslash ( \ ) in front of the mention (among other things like the emojis) to get the text back.

  This way you can still use the autocomplete without pinging. It adds 3 keystrokes, you can do this

  its 3 keystrokes more then needed. now its better to just type a part of their name and hope people dont have anything similar.

  i actually might start using the web version if they continue to ruin things that work.
  
  dont fix things if they work -> discord dont understand simple rule.
