Future Suggestion For Faster Account Switching (sorry in light theme)

I thought It would be a good Idea to raise points about,

  1. The only way you can swiftly switch between accounts, or have more than one open at once, is through the use of multiple browsers.
  2. What the benefits would be.
  3. What flaws there could be.

My Idea is, you can have multiple accounts within the same app, (as seen in the screenshot) and be able to switch between them with ease (clicking on the other accounts).

Now that I have thought about it, it might not be in the ideal place, but It could be located somewhere else, or be accessible by clicking on your name in the bottom or something, all just ideas. (I am aware that double clicking your name copies it to your clipboard)

That's probably all I have to say, and now you can review the screenshot. (this took me an hour to make, please don't be too harsh on how bad it looks), as well as, the only accounts that are mine, is the top one in the screenshot, please don't try find any of the other accounts within this screenshot, I just wanted a base image to start editing on.

I think it would be helpful for people trying to test bots, people that have multiple accounts and don't want to have multiple windows present, and all your messages / notifications in once place, etc.

Obviously this is just a suggestion, and would like to hear feedback from the community, and if possible, the discord team. :)

    I am in favour, however I deeply despise the design you proposed as that would waste a LOT of valuable screen real estate (which we need for the chat) and would make the UI look more cluttered (adding more columns to the side bar would have me completely lost). I'd propose not always showing this and adding the option to open a menu either at the bottom left (under the server list) like so:

     

    or at the end of the settings (above "Log out") opened by clicking on the gear icon, like so:

    I appreciate your contributions and I agree, It does take an awful lot of the screen up, and think your idea is probably the right way to go, (and isn't as poorly edited as mine lol), with the "option to open a menu either at the bottom left (under the server list)" and in the settings would be great. :)

    I started a reddit thread on this. Please comment there too, as the public exposure of having this as the top topic on their subreddit might actually elicit a response. Public rather than private asking after so long might encourage them to do something. It's a lot harder to bury something at the top of your subreddit than your internal feedback system.
