Make the '@' mention of users based on roles for servers
Hi Discord,
Please add a server role toggle for @ 'mentions'.
There is a huge problem when servers start to grow in size. Every user wants to ping the admins or youtubers in the server. A solution to this has always been to make yourself 'busy'. However, this is not sufficient when you still want certain roles / groups of people to be able to ping and speak to you.
The suggestion to solve this problem is to make an option to disable users from pinging each other in a server. This option can be enabled depending on the roles the server managers choose. For example, if a new member joins the server they are unable to ping users. However, if they get a verified role, then they can ping users.
This is a huge problem for youtubers, famous people or admins in general. I really hope you listen to this feedback and it gets resolved.
Thank you for reading,
Kyle

Solid idea - would definitely help in server scalability, especially when a particular admin or member is well known or popular.

Agreed, having to allow pings, make the ping then disallow pings is a royal pain in the arse.

I really like the idea, would be interesting what features you can make for bots to help people out!
