Gif's are bad. They're lower quality. They're massive filesizes. WebM can achieve higher quality, crystal clear images. Much more animation time. A 720P HD WEBM can fit inside of 2-4MB. A 1080P can fit within the 8MB constrains for avatars. 10MB would be best, but its fine.

WEBM IS COMPLETELY SUPERIOR AND COSTS LESS BANDWIDTH WITHOUT LOSS OF QUALITY.
