Severe difficulties leaving voice chat after unknowingly joining from watching a stream

One of my servers had a stream going, so I decided to watch it. The streamer was AFK at the time, so I clicked Stop Watching and walked away from my computer. Somehow, it automatically put me into a voice channel, and then someone started talking. When I came back I found that discord had started using my microphone without my knowledge. Fortunately, my microphone has a mute button on its base. After searching for about thirty seconds, I found my name under one of the voice chats that I had not entered. I tried everything I could think of to leave the voice channel: dragging my name away from it, right-clicking my name to leave it, right-clicking the channel name, right-clicking the server name. I even tried to leave the server in a panic and it still kept me in the voice channel after I had left the server. I then resorted to alt-F4 to force discord to stop using my microphone, and when I had restarted the program it did not use my microphone. I rejoined the server and it still did not use my microphone automatically. Afterwards, I decided to google how to leave a voice chat and found out that there is a disconnect button hidden in the lower-left corner of the program that does not appear to have any relation to voice chats until you read its tooltip.

Assuming people from discord actually read this, please send the following questions to whomever oversaw the designs of these systems.

Why does discord automatically place me in a voice channel when I watch a stream?
Why does discord not remove me from that voice channel when I stop watching a stream?
Why is the button for leaving a voice chat so far disconnected from the voice chat?
Why is the interface for leaving a voice chat so significantly different from leaving a call?
Why are there no options to leave a voice chat from the right-click menus in any of the following locations: the server icon, the voice chat list, the voice chat's entry in that list, and your name appearing under that voice chat entry?
Why does leaving a server not automatically remove you from a voice chat?

Now that I know how to leave a voice chat, I won't need any helpful responses here, I simply wanted to leave some feedback for discord due to the difficulties I encountered attempting to use the program.
