Music is muffled while using discord with headphones

I want to play music while talking to my friends so I use headphones so there is no echo but when I use headphones my music is muffled in the back ground. I don't know if it matters but I'm using a Mac and would love to see this fix because its very obnoxious and annoying. Please and Thank you
