Feature Suggestion - Hide custom status from servers.

Custom statuses are here, woo! While that's all great 'n wonderful, now servers that want to moderate custom statuses, for various reasons (Eg; contains server invite link, inappropriate, etc.), servers that want to moderate these custom statuses constantly run into the stubborn "I'm not changing my status for one server." 

To help with the above issue, or even just give users that little extra privacy, I propose allowing users to hide their status from specific servers. This option could also be added in user settings under "Server Privacy Defaults" in "Privacy & Safety".

    Indeed, I agree with your suggestion. This would allow more customization for the users interface (Status wise, to block others status) definitely upvoting.

    What a nice cat, nice suggestion! But instead of limiting what Discord features are, if any server would enable this– then the custom statuses feature that Discord put a work into would be useless. So, instead I think we can say that this feature should be toggleable between users that is currently joined. I mean, not all disobeys the rules, right?

    Apologies for the late response but I'm here to voice support for this.  Had concern over someone's status in one of my servers recently and there wasn't a lot we could do about it.  For moderation's sake, it'd be nice to have the option. And I can see r4isen's point as well.  Perhaps this could be set up as a role/user permission?  Then you could enable/disable statuses on a per role/per user basis.  Don't want anyone showing statuses for whatever?  That's fine.  Need to moderate just one person's status?  Also fine.  Want statuses to be a permission for certain trusted users?  You could easily do that too-- kind of like the current nickname system.

    Relatedly, it'd be nice to choose to hide your own status from certain servers too.  Just in case you want a bit more privacy from more public servers (sort of like how you can close off DMs).

    Many people have suggested doing this. But I don't know if there was any reaction from the developers to this.
